CONSIDERING TO LIST YOUR HOME??   WHAT TO DO??

DECLUTTER

1. Throw away any items you haven't used for over 1 yr.

     A. If you haven't used it within a year then chances are you don't need it.  Separate yourself from it emotionally.

2.  PURCHASE PLASTIC CONTAINER TO STORE ITEMS

     A.  Items from bathroom counter tops

     B. Items from kitchen counter tops.

     C. Knick Knacks

Property shows much better with empty counters, dressers, fireplace mantels , etc

3.   LEAVE GENERIC PHOTOS OR PICTURES HANGING BUT REMOVE PERSONAL

       A. Family Photos

       B  Awards

      C.  Children

Takes away some of the  emotional attachment for you and the Prospective Buyer

4.  CLEAN GARAGE

     A. Again throw any items away you haven't used more than 1 yr.

     B.  Use plastic containers to stack items neatly

     C.  Make sure garage floor is clean

When an Agent is showing your property , prospective Buyers know you are preparing to move.  Better to have plastic bins stacked neatly than to have a garage and house full of clutter

.

5. CLEAN YARD

      A.  Make sure lawn is mowed

      B.  Trim shrubs

      C.  Clean Windows

      D. Pressure wash walkways and driveways

      E.  Plant flowers

      F.  Remove all items just laying around the yard

CURB APPEAL IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT

When Prospective Buyers drive up to your property Curb Appeal will attract the Buyer and help them decide whether they want to see more of the property.

One of the least expensive improvements to create curb appeal  is plant flowers.  Don't go real expensive just place flowers in pots.  Place by front door or garage doors.
